Over the past twenty years, the University of Notre Dame’s Head Basketball Coach Mike Brey has raised more than $3 million for Coaches vs. Cancer and the American Cancer Society. But we aren’t stopping there. YOU are invited to the Night of the Stars on Monday, August 3, 2020 at The Joyce Center at Purcell Pavilion. We promise an unforgettable evening honoring extraordinary individuals from our community who have made significant contributions in the fight against cancer, including delectable cuisine, an exciting auction, special guests, and much more! This special evening will bring together prominent individuals, Notre Dame basketball fans, and cancer fighters – all with the common goal to save lives from cancer. We hope you will join us.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. This initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches and communities nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs. Since 1993, Coaches vs. Cancer programs have raised nearly $125 million for the American Cancer Society.
Thank you to every single sponsor, guest, donor and volunteer for your commitment to the fight against cancer. We are honored to have you on our team!
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
